We purchase all our timber from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified suppliers. The FSC is an international organisation that demands the use of sustainable sources of timber.
Timber is imported directly from the saw mill. This ensures we get quality sustainable timber due to minimised handling. Every time timber is loaded and unloaded in transit, there is a risk that the timber gets damaged. To reduce the risk of damage, the timber is packed in a container at the saw mill, and is not opened until it reaches our factory in Nelson.
